Balancing and blue printing also required the measuring of each and every bearing shell along with the journals of the crank, the bores of the engine case and big ends of the rods. I then mixed and matched to ensure the clearances were within spec along with them being as close to the same as possible. This process and the processing of weighing everything was massively time consuming. Every piece was coded so I could do the 'Balancing' in a spreadsheet, then just grabbed the parts
