Both washers and bolts in place. Now you can see why a washer without a hole would have been better. The threads of the bolts were coated with Extreme Pressure Moly grease to reduce friction. The bolts should not be too long or they will make contact with the alternator casting. The 75 mm length worked perfectly with the two washers used and left a gap between the alternator shaft and washers so that a piece of metal could be placed between the two as shown in the next photo.
