Here's the "big" problem. The stock spring on the right has a center 10mm "notch", so the 10mm roller on the spring operating bracket has a place to sit, in neutral.
Colin's spring has...I'm not sure what that radius happens to be.
Additionally, the location of the stock "notch" is about 2mm lower than the one on Colin's spring.
