Fuchs for trade
I have 4 Fuchs that I don't need. They say 7J x 16 on the back. They are in great shape and have few chips in them. I think 2 are from a 911 and 2 are from a 951. I say that because the polished edge between the center and the rim are a little different. I will send a picture if requested. The offset is the same on both. That is to say early 911 and 944.
Here's what I need. We are building an enduro SCCA race car. It is a 1986 944 N/A. What I want are phone dials in 15 X 7. But they have to be in the early offset. These wheels came on the 1985/5 and 1986 N/A 944. I need two sets. Email with what you have. BillLSeifert@aol.com Remember if your phone dials came from a 1987 or later 944, THEY WON'T FIT!!!!!!! Don't respond. Bill Seifert 1986 944 under construction |
OK
Maybe noone wants the Fuchs, no biggie. Does anyone have any 7 X 15 Phone Dials in the early offset? I would like to buy some. Bill Seifert 1986 944 Race Car in progress |
I cannot believe that there is noone out there with a 1985/5 or 1986 944 that changed wheels, and has a set of 15 x 7 phonedials sitting in the garage. I would like to buy them. I know everyone wants 17's or 18's, so where are the ones they take off?

Is there such a thing as 18 in phone dials?

Bill...
what are the numbers on the back of the 7x16" fuchs.. if they are the 911 part numbers let me know.. I will buy them from you if the price is good. I can have you send them to a friends place in Ohio Dayton area . let me know what the price is you want.. for the 911 offset Fuchs. |
Sean,
I answered you on the other thread before I read this one. Anyway, if they are going to Ohio, that solves one problem, the other, is I don't want to sell just 2 wheels, one more small problem, is that the wheels aren't here, they are at a friends house about 50 miles away, so I can't tell you if they are 911 part number or 944 until this next weekend. If I rememer correctly they are 911, but as I said in my other answer, I am real old, also I have a ton of wheels. Email me at BillLSeifert@aol.com if you are still interested, and I will get the part numbers Saturday, December 20, 2003. Also, I want $700 for all four, I bought them from Ernie's Alloys two years ago for $1,400, but I got ripped, I won't do the same to you. |

Geo,
Boy that's getting tough. I have two, but I have promised them to a friend that is building an ITS 83 944. He's moving real slow on his building, so if it don 't work out, I will let you know. I have taken a different path since I last talked to you about the 944S engine. I found a 1987 944S for $1,200 two weeks ago, and have stripped it. So I won't need the early phone dials, I will be going to late ones, and they seem fairly cheap. I am going back to 15's, as they seem to be the best right now. If I could get a 4:11 in the new car, I would stick with 16's but the ones that came with the car are as you know 8 & 7's just like your Fuchs. By the way, about my 16 Fuchs, I asked $700 for all four. They guy that replied only wanted 2, so I told him $500, and never heard from him again. I paid $350 apiece for them, so that's why I thought $250 apiece with a discount for taking 4. OBVIOUSLY NOT. Actually I think I will sell them with my 83 944 Race Car, which I am going to sell as soon as I get the Sebring dents fixed. (We went there last month) Some RX7 guy hit me in the hairpin. I finished 20th out of 32 on Sat, and first 944 (Even beat an S), and 15th out of 30 on Sun. (Still first 944) Those Fla guys are fast, I hear they invented ITS. So the best we can hope for is first in the 944 Class. Hopefully the S will solve that. Bill Seifert 1983 944 Race Car 1987 944S Race Car under const. |
