Default Wheels Restoration & Refinishing

Hey everyone,

New 997.2 Porsche owner here! complete noob to Porsche and detailing as well. I need recommendations on how to restore the rear rims pictured below, along with front ones for comparison. Is this break dust or were the wheels damaged during cleaning?

Plus, where do I get reasonably priced black center caps?

Hello and Welcome Maan.

I'm a noob myself and can’t be of much help answering your questions, however I found Phil with Detailers Domain on Renns and he was very helpful. I ordered a lot of products from him and he is great about answering questions. You can find him by searching the Vendors section and send him a PM or go straight to his site. He gives a 10% discount to Renns members.

Great products and advice IMHO.

Forgot to mention... The wheel cleaner he recommended was amazing and made mine look brand new again.

Good Luck!

Bump. Still with no DIY solution. Looks like I have to get them refinished professionally. Any recommendations in the Houston TX area? Was thinking of doing platinum satin.

We are not in Texas but here are some ideas for you while you are getting them redone, also we have many wheels that are shipped in from all over the country to have them looking like new again.

Also you save yourself the money of purchasing new caps, if we refinish your wheels we can also refinish your caps.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Good Luck either way,
