switching from 15" to 16"

I'm going to switch my 15x7/8 fuchs to 16x7/8 BBS wheels soon on my 84 944 and I need to know the widest tires I can fit. Right now i have 225/50-15's all the way around. I would like to put 225/50-16's up front and 245/45-16's out back. Anyone run these sized before? Any recommendations? Thanks.

a different question...pm me if you are going to sell your 15's, I may be interested in them for a 914 project i'm doing. Not sure if i want 15's or 16's.

225/50 and 245/45 will fit, provided you have the correct offset. i had the same sizes on my 86 951 with BBS wheels - the rear wheels actually had an 11mm offset, not the correct 23mm offset.
