Wheel refinishing in Salt Lake City?
I have a '97 993 Narrow Body with the narrow-body hollow Turbo-Twist wheels.
Bought the car used years ago with some curb-rash on a couple wheels, and always meant to get around to refinishing them. A recent flat on the interstate chewed-up the inner edge of another wheel.
So I want to get the set refinished at long last.
Since a project has us going down to SLC a couple of times in the next few weeks,I thought it would be quite easy to take the wheels with us, and save on shipping costs. (The car is currently sitting on an old set of race wheels/tires)
Talking with local gear-heads, and some on-line research, I've come up with two shops. Wheel Werks and an independent, Fritz Braun.
Anyone have experience with either, or know of another trustworthy shop in the Salt Lake area?
Or am I better off to ship them to Wheel Enhancement in LA?
Thanks much in advance for any advice, experience or reccos.
(I'm cross-posting on a couple of boards)
