help - R888's unstable above 130 mph
UPDATE LOWERED THE PRESSURE DOWN TO 28 PSI COLD, AND I THINK THE TIRES STARTED TO BREAK IN . THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE SOLVED , BUT RUNNING SUCH A LOW PRESSURE I CAN REALLY FEEL THE SLUGGISHNESS NOW. STILL NEED TO PLAY WITH THE PRESSURE TO GET IT DECENT. BUT IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE MICHELIN PILOT SPORT CUP 2'S (WHICH I WILL BE ORDERING SOON)
just installed a set of toyo r888's running 33psi F and 39psi R , mounted on a brand new set of A.G. M510's
and the car is all over the road at speeds above 130, the car has had multiple 175mph pulls without any problems and felt solid a few months back.
it feels like its just being blown from left to right and very unstable
- we checked all bushings and bolts
- had an alignment done
problem still persists
what do you guys think could be causing this?

Toyos suck donkey *****. Could not wait to get them off my car. You will have to dial in some toe-in and scrub them a while. They'll come around in time. ....and off the top of my head your rear psi seem a bit high, but I have no idea what normal is for your car.

Bring your hot pressures down 32F and 34R.. Now scrub the tires, as they behave poorly when new, then bring them in temp and cool them.. Maybe a few heat cycles may help your stability.. Oh one last thing make sure you have the correct rotation. I've seen this mistake before.
