Default Has anyone had their wheels painted?

I'm looking to get a black 997.2 Turbo with the spider wheels. I really like the look of the black wheels and wanted to know if anyone has had their wheels painted (I know the black wheels are and option from the factory, but don't know about the possibilities afterwards)

Thanks!

Hello dmac,

If you are looking to duplicate the factory two tone finish, it cannot be done correctly, however, you can do the entire wheel in a powder coated black. If you wish, give me a ring at 760-550-1266 direct and I will provide you with a quote to refinish your wheels.

Sorry dmac to highjack.

Wheel Enhancement: I posted in the 991 forum "I am looking to order a GTS in GT Silver. I would like the CL wheels, but prefer them in the standard Turbo S configuration - black hub with polished silver spokes. Could the GTS CL's be refinished to replicate the Turbo S wheel?" I presume the answer is "no" as above.

My second question is: would the stock Turbo S wheels fit on the 991 GTS - which I believe have the C4S offsets of 51/48 (with the 305 rears, 52 with the 295 rears)?

Hello P987yow,

Sorry for the delay in my response. The Turbo S Wheels will bolt directly onto your GTS. Assuming of course they are both center lock

The Turbo S Wheels are 20x9 ET 51 and 20x11.5 ET 56. The GTS is an 11.5 ET 48, but the Turbo S wheel will work.

If you are interested I have a set of brand new take off Turbo S wheels in stock. We never have these on hand. If you wish to put your name on them please call me as they will not be here long.

My direct line is 760-550-1266. Or you can email me at guy@wheelenhancement.com

Talk to you soon,

Guy Atherton

Something to consider:

Does Porsche paint where the lugs seat on the wheel? Or is it bare?

I think the old Fuchs were bare because the paint could be slippery. Do they still leave them bare?
