Requesting Assistance to Identify These Wheels
Hello everyone,
My Uncle had left behind what appears to be Fuchs wheels that belonged to his 1987 Carrera Cabriolet. They're aged, dirty and do not reveal any obavious markings from what I can tell. Can any one help me identify them? TIA

Sorry to hear. My regards.
That is indeed the classic 'Fuch' style. Fuchsfelge or Otto Fuchs is technically the name of the company, generally referred to as Fuchs though. The wheels are named after, well, the company!
There should be marking on the inside of the spokes, where it is recessed.
Note that in their day, these were very popular wheels and a lot of replicas were produced.
However from the pictures, the contours look to be that of a real Fuchs wheel. Also the inboard hub mounting area is consistent with Fuchs design.
Sizes are hard to tell via a picture, but the one you show looks like either a 16x7 or 16x8. The size, offset, and part number should also be stamped inside the spokes.
A symbol of a fox on one of the inside surfaces of the spoke (Fuchs is German for fox) would confirm that they are real Fuchs.
The colored centers, and also what appears to be center caps with actual miniature crests, are relatively rare.
Hope this helps!
Again, my regards. Hope you're well.
Take care,
