The quality of each company's product, fitment and correct lugnuts for your application is up to YOU to research.
Consider your wheel choice. Wheels undergo large impact forces, deform under cornering, are subject to extreme temperatures, and more. They can crack causing dangerous results. A TÜV, JWL, DOT or other certification, FEA or other testing, and other analyses may not guarantee a suitable product.
In a performance environment, all wheels and suspension components should be frequently checked for cracks, bends, corrosion and other defects. X-ray imaging is the only way to show internal cracks and faults. All wheels can crack, including the original Fuchs.
Incorrect lugnuts or other incorrect hardware can greatly accelerate wheel failure.
Some of these companies could be fly-by-night with extremely questionable production methods. Several companies cast a wheel in the exact shape as the original. The shape of the original wheel was designed for the full forging construction and was not designed to be constructed any other way.
Wheels that use donor wheels use original centers that can already be fatigued and therefore accelerate failure. Several accounts of such failure have been reported.
In the words of one Pelican user, some replicas should be used only "for your gardenhose." An ideal wheel has been completely redesigned with construction methods and end use in mind.
A word on the originals: it has been noted several times that the original wheels, while being high-tech during their mid-sixties introduction, are today not particularly strong. Remember that in the past fifty years, tire and suspension technologies have increased exponentially; lateral loads are larger with every new tire. A car from fifty years ago, with modern suspension and tires, can sustain far greater lateral loads than ever imagined at its inception.
Again, the quality and fitment of each product here is up to you to research.

What defines a Fuchs replica? This is debatable. Wheels in this list have five spokes, a protruding petal and distinguished lip. Shape and size of each of these characteristics is not necessarily true to the original.
Each entry has the company in bold, followed by a brief description with weblinks. Pictures of the company's product follow each entry.

Otto Fuchs: Original company contracted by Porsche to produce a lightweight, unique wheel for their automobile. One of very few automotive wheels (OEM or aftermarket) to be fully "3D" forged. Read about the process here. There are no wheels in the below list that are forged this way.
Otto Fuchs still produces some original sizes in batches (contact your dealer parts desk for info). I think these are the sizes still in production. I cannot say if these are constructed the same way as original equipment.

Otto Fuchs: Fuchsfelge. Single piece forged. According to Harvey Weidman via the Early S Registry, these are not 3D forged, but instead milled from a forged cylinder. Made in high offset 17", 18" and 19" sizes. They may be available at your local dealer. Otto Fuchs
Speedline for Porsche: Sport Classic. 19". Single-piece cast. New "Fuchs" as delivered on the 997 Sport Classic and Speedster. Ironically, they are produced by Speedline. Available from your Porsche Dealer parts desk or at Porsche Sport Classic 19 wheel - wheelenhancement
SSP: *****. 15" and 17". Note only some are TÜV approved, not sure why. SSP Wheels.
Melbourne, Australia: Harry Witham? Otherwise unknown company.
Other: Using a Fuchs center and somebody else's barrels, such as BBS. Shown below is a donor center using a 35-bolt BBS barrel.

American Eagle Wheels: Stamped "AEW" on spoke interior. Also offered in "wide 5" 5x205.
CMW: 3-piece, donor centers. "CMW" center cap available.
Compomotive: 3-piece, replica centers. Stamped "Compomotive" and "Made in England."
FinnWheel: A Swedish company produced these roughly the same time the original Porsche wheel was released in 1965. It is possible they precede the famous FuchsFelge; the exact timeline is not known.
HRE Wheels: 311. 3 piece. Some people claim they use donor centers, but some pictures show a replica center. Most likely they've made both types. Note differing bolt orientations. Replica centers have "HRE" marking on spoke interior.
Route?: Made in Italy ? Possibly shown below?
Stratton Motorsports: Donor centers. Still available?
TruDesign: Donor centers.
Xenon: Type-P. 1-piece or rare 2-piece. Made in Japan. Note stamp on spoke exterior (possibly JWL)

These replica wheels came with a car I recently bought. I have two 7x15's and four 9x15's. They say they are made in Italy. Anyone know who the manufacturer would be? One of the pics below shows the words "part non original" but I could not find a manufacturer's name on the wheels. I am listing them on my local Craigslist and it would be nice to know who made them.

I'm going to guess they are Maxilite. It is an Italian company. I see they have Hoosiers: I wouldn't use those wheels as track wheels. Then again, I wouldn't use original Fuchs either given their age.
I could be wrong, but that's what they look like. Have fun with your new car.
Can someone just give me the best one or two track capable fuchs replicas with the best pricing? Just trying to keep it simple, as all the options are confusing.
