Anybody have suggestions for a set of wheels and tires, including sizes that are relatively easy to clean, at least average to light weight for a 87' 930? Mostly mountian driving and a little autocross.

If you haven't already, you may want to make use of the Tire Rack web site. For your Turbo, one wheel that comes up is the BBS LM in 7.5x17 and 9x17. For tires, they have comparisons, and maybe more importantly customer ratings and comments. I don't autocross, but for general usage I don't think you'd go wrong with Bridgestone S02 or S03 or Michelin Pilot or Pilot Sport. The Michelin Pilot and Bridgestone S02's are both "N" rated, which means they are approved for usage by Porsche.
