Post Wheels wanted

Looking for factory 16" Porsche wheels with 53mm (or so) offset for my 924S. Phone dials, Design 90, 928 dish style or ???

Would prefer to buy within Canada (have you seen the exchange lately for the Northern Peso?), preferably in the BC area but I'm open to the idea of shipping.

I have 4x design 90's off my 964 - I think the offsets are around 52.3mm. I am in the UK though so I guess unless you get really desparate....

Not that this is any help but I also have a set of 964 Design 90s laying around gathering dust. Trouble is I live in Switzerland. I also have a set of 7JX15 Swiss only Phone Dials sitting on my balcony taking up space.
Ciao,
Adrian

I have four 16" ROH wheels (from Australia I believe) with Toyo Proxies mounted. Paid around $1500 for them with the tires. I bought them for my C4 but they also fit my 944 turbo S. However, I'm running 17" Hoosiers so I don't really need them. $500 for everything or $400 for just the wheels. (That's a deal!) I can email a picture of the wheel design if you'd like.

Appreciate the replies but I want to stick with a stock Porsche rim (sorry Larry) and I can't imagine what shipping from overseas would run! The search continues...

I shipped a set of 993 wheels out of the USA to Switzerland via UPS and that cost me circa $US400:00. No tyres fitted.

PS: These wheels are still in use as my winter wheels.

Hello adrian!

about the wheels that you shipped here in Switzerland, you paid another tax diferent than the normal 7,5% at the customs?
It's intersting to buy the wheels in USA..?
I'm looking for '18 wheels same as the 996 C4S..(anyways here in switzerland are very expensive.. ...+ 20% than in France)

any ideas!!?

thanks Adrian.
regards.

Dear Andreas,
I paid 20CHF tax and 10CHF handling fee. They only use the value on the invoice, hint hint.Paid at the post office. I also had them shipped to the company where I work and not to home. This also reduces costs.
However you do need to aware that if you purchase genuine "Porsche wheels" with a Porsche part number you will have no problems. If you purchase aftermarket wheels you are going to have to obtainthe licence for these wheels from the local importer. They will charge you circa 72CHF for this. If the wheels are not known to any of the importers or the government in Switzerland you will not be able to install them legally. If you do and you get controlled you will be forced off the road and have to pay quite a big fine,
Ciao,
Adrian

Thanks adrian.
It seems not very expensive at all..
I'm taking my time choosing this wheels
but maybe the most simple way is to get them in the Porsche dealer in Annecy, France...

Kind regards.

Dear Andreas,
I would also check with AMAG in Lausanne as well. They look after many of the RSs and RSRs. Maybe they have what you are looking for. Beware though, they are not the most polite people in the world.
Good luck with your search,

Yeaph Adrian is already done they have everything..but ..fun..as almost all over the world when you buy them a Porsche they are incredible great. Then if you need a specific information the answer is .
that's why i'm looking for those wheels in F.
The price is very interesting and the service is ok.
they want to make $$$$... but here in Switzerland it seems like they don't need it...

Tks again for the info.

That is for the 2 Swiss gentlemen there:
Have you visited THE Porsche mechanic in Sion?? He seems to have quite a few contacts, and he is a really helpful if you get hold of him.
Andreas, I hear you on AMAG...
Regards from Sion, GeorgeK

Hi Andreas,
The mechanic's name is Alain Pfefferle. His phone is actually a fax, 027/203.64.61, because he works alone and has too many calls.
He IS hard to reach, but if you have good contact with him, he is the best. I bought 3 cars from him, and never had a bad surprise. You probably know him from the racing scene¨. He does slaloms and hillclimbs with a white 935. He is today in Moudon for the slalom.
About AMAG, I have had a few problems with them...
