Rim reccomendations pleeeeeease.
I know exactly what style rim I want, but I don't know what to call it. Basically, the Racing Hart C-2 style. I love those. But anyways... I will be looking for a set of 2 - 17X8ish and 2 - 17X9ish rims at a reasonable cost. I say "ish" because I don't have to have those exact sizes, just something that will hold a 225 front/245 or 255 rear tire.
HREs are just too darn expensive for me, as are Racing Harts. I've checked various websites, including tirerack.com, and my results haven't been very successful. Can I get a few suggestions for rims and/or websites? |
What model Porsche and are you thinking street-only usage or track usage also? That might help guide some suggestions.

As a word of caution: Racing Hart C-2 rims are VERY heavy, 17 inchers would be around 20-24 lbs each, per wheel WITHOUT tire.

I guess it would have been a good idea to mention what kind of car I want to buy it for heh heh.
1986 944 And I didn't neccessarily mean a RH C2, just something that looks similar. I just love that look. These would be my street rims, so weight wouldn't be quite as important. I'll keep the stock rims and put some Kumho victoracers on them for autoXing and whatnot. |
Have you looked at the wheels at <a href="http://www.wheelenhancement.com?" target="_blank">www.wheelenhancement.com?</a>

If you like the style of RH C2 then you may want to check HRE, BBS, Kinesis, and Fikse. They all make similar style as RH C2 but lighter and stronger.
