Another 944 85.5 rim question

I just found some rims which are:
16x6" with 40mm offset in front, and 16x7" with 50mm offset in back

Can these fit on my 85.5 944? Do I need spacers? or no way?

Thanks

You will need spacers. The offset of the 1985.5 944 is 23.3mm front and rear.

Thanks for the info. So being new at this should I go for spacers or find rims with the right offset

It's not just spacers - you'll also need new studs. Studs will set you back about $80 a set with the spacers running around $150 for the set. The advantage is in the weight savings of the Porsche wheels when compared to some of the less expensive aftermarket rims. Obviously, the expensive aftermarket rims are light weight, but the cheaper ones can be down right heavy. You'll find a limited selection of rims from Porsche that will fit your car because of the offset. If you go with the spacers you can run just about any rim Porsche made. :D

I wouldn't put any 6x16 wheels on any 944. Something like 7s and 8s would be good on your car unless you want to go with something more exotic.

Thanks again for all the info.
