Please would you give your opinions on which wheel looks the best ona 996 (non-sports suspension at the moment), out of:

18" RUF wheels
18" Carrera wheels (the latest ones)
18" Turbo wheels
18" Sport design wheels

17" Carrera wheels (currently on car)

Important factors are weight and looks.

Well, the 18 Turbo wheels is my first choice and the second is the 02 996 Carrera wheels...

Well, if weight is that important, the 18" Carrera wheels would be my choice. They are the best looking as well.

I was in the same question, there's too much choice finally, i took the Turbo look, as it keeps the original Porsche concept. And i'm really happy with. In "18 they are great. see picsin the link above signature.
It's true that i was at the point to buy the Cargraphic "19.
