Post Can My Wheels hold 285's

I have a 2000 996 with 18 inch Sport Design two piece wheels. Could I put on the 285's on these wheels? Also, what would happen to the handling on the car. Would it understeer more?

TIA

Yes, you can install 285's on your existing 10" wheels. This will contribute to a little more understeer but, depending on how you drive, you may or may not feel it.
