10" X 17" Rear Wheels on 89 C4

Does anyone know if 10" X 17" 55 mm offset wheels will fit on the back of an 1989 C4?

They won't fit without spacers on a narrow bodied 964

the offset is right but the rim width could foul the oil lines, stick to 9" rears

I have a 89 C4 with 18X10 rear with 265/35-18 tire.

Wheel offset is 66mm mounted with a 15mm spacer/adaptor to clear the oil line.

66-15=51mm effective offset.

Eugene I think you are pretty close. I measured up my car and calculate that with Yokohama 275's (section width 10.7") I will be fine if I use an 8mm spacer which would give me an effective offset of 48 mm (56 mm - 8mm). Pretty much the same as what you have.
