Question Cleaning up 928 Wheels.....How?

I have a 87 928 S4 with the flat wheels. They WERE polished, but are no longer because the PO did not take care of them properly. How do I bring them back to life?? Any thing would look better than they do right now, and I really dont want to get a new set. These are in good shape except for the finish. I have used the Mothers polish on one wheel, and it looks better than it did, but it took approx. 3 hours just to get it where it is now. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

S. Hunter

I just put S4 wheels on my 78 5 speed. One wheel looks like someone used an acid base wheel cleaner on it. But I am working it with "mothers" not helping much. I think when funds get better I will have them professonally polished. I have reaad post of guys trying to do this do-it yourself home kit with devastating results.
