Post Offsets & sizes for 911 Track wheels

What are the best sizes and offsets for wheels for a 1987 911 Coupe for DE events.

No rolled fenders only 3-4 per year.

What size tires to go with wheels

Thanks

16 inch Fuchs with 225s up front and 245s on the rear. 7JX16 front wheels and 8JX16 rear wheels. Light and fast. 23.3mm offset works well, or so I am told for your model of Carrera,

You'll find some information on Fuchs and their applicability/offsets in the 911SC FAQ on Rennlist. As Adrian mentioned, 7's and 8's are one combination that work, however, you have two basic choices of tire sizes, 205's and 225's front/rear which are the stock sizes. On the wider rims the sidewalls are held out more and are a bit stiffer. You can also use the 225/245 combination. I prefer those on 8x16's and 9x16's. You can comfortably run 9x16's in the rear with 245's. 8's in the front, if you use 944 Turbo Fuchs, likely will require rolling the front fender, unless you have lots of negative camber dialed in. Fuchs in 16" rims are light, plentiful, not too expensive, and many just like the looks of them on 911's. If I were going to buy new rims, I'd consider 17" rims, as the tires have shorter, thus stiffer, sidewalls. In addition, some r compound 16" tire choices are becoming more limited, as the general market slowly moves upwards (18", 19", etc) in wheel sizes.
