Tire Treatments
It seems like I just can't get this one right. I've tried a number of products and all seem to leave some kind of coating that becomes very gunky as it gets older. Would love some recommendations on a good tire treatment. I've heard some good things about Vinylex. All comments will be greatly appreciated.

Phil,
I've used Vinylex. Spray it on a rag (keeps spray from hitting non-tire areas), wipe it on the tire, and with another rag wipe wipe off the excess. Leaves a dull sheen that, at some point in the future you look at, and say it's time to do it again. |
I agree with Bill - Vinylex works well & leaves a nice finish. Also try Stoner's "more shine less time" spray. It's a little shiny on initial applicaton, but it definitely lasts longer, & doesn't seem to turn brown as it wears off.

I'll add my 2 cents worth.
I'm sure you've heard of Griots (griotsgarage.com, I believe). These product are very good, especially the tire treatment and interior treatment. I have black interior, and the stuff I makes the car look brand new (0n a 95 993 BTY...). I like it because Griots states it protects the inside as well as detail.. For tire treatment, you can probably get by with cheap stuff, but be careful on interior detailing. I hear cheap stuff you buy a general auto store is really bad for the dashboard, etc... |
i've been using 303 with good results
