Post Track tires for Narrow Body 993

I'm looking for a set of 17" track tires for my '98 993 Cab. Tirerack recommended the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups that come in the original sizes (205 and 255) but they are pretty pricey for a casual DE participant. The other option was the Kuhmo V700 225/45 and 255/40.

Any experience out there with these tires. My car is being lowered via ROW suspension set-up. Any rubbing with the fronts?

The Kumho's are excellent DOT R-compound tires that have been used by many for several years. The Michelin Pilot Cups are very new but are supposed to be at the top of the list in terms of performance.

BTW, you are better off with the 225/255 combination on 7.5" and 9" wheels than the factory stock sizes. Provided you are running reasonable offsets on the front wheels, you shouldn't experience any rubbing.
