18 inch Technology/hollow spoke wheel question
I read from one of the first hand reports on Panorama that a Porsche owner complained that his Hollow Spoke Technology wheels frequently where "untrue" due to some inherent weakness in the design. Has anybody else had a similar experience? I've used these wheels at DE events nad have not had any problems.

Arthur,
I've also used my Technology wheels for over 2 years on rutted roads (with lower than recommended tire pressures, BTW) and several DE's without any problems. I have not heard of this "untrue" or weakness issue. In many engineering designs, a hollow structure (e.g. an aircraft's honeycomb frame) is actually stronger than an equivalent solid structure.

I've had hollow spokes for over 2 years and have not had any significant problems with untrueness either. I've been to multiple DE's and autoX's also.
Just be sure to run the appropriate tire pressures and slow down for the big bumps and potholes.
And whatever you do, DO NOT chrome your hollow spoke wheels!!!
