Looking at a set of Gemballas...worried about weight
Let me start of first by saying that I'm after looks...I don't track my car and I don't plan to. I found a set of Gemballas that I like the look of, but the rears weigh 30lbs!!
The wheels are 18x11x9. Right now I have 16" fuchs on my widebody but they are way too narrow for the car. I'm also not very fond of the way they look. But they are super light [from what I've read they are in the 15lb range].
Will I notice a difference in street driving by changing to wheels that weigh twice as much as whats already on my car? [not to mention the added weight of 315/35/18 rubber]

Those are great lookers.
FWIW those are "RH" brand wheels for Gemballa. RH brand can be bought for much less, yet its the same wheel.
Okay, 30 pounds wont kill you since your just going for a cruiser. Even the factory 18 inch "twist" solid spoke is that same weight.
Now some RUF wheels (speedline brand) are even heavier. Freaks me out how heavy.
If you like these, go with them and be happy. If your really "tuned in" to your car with those lighter Fuch wheels you may feel a slight difference, but it wont be a absolutely adverse effect. Most of the change you will feel will be because of the larger footprint your about to go to.
Feel free to call the shop if you have any further RH questions.

I've only put about 1000 miles on my car since I got it, so i can't say that I'm "tuned into it" at all. I can get this set of wheels for 1200 bucks, which seems like a really good deal to me. The problem is, the offset is for the newer 911s...so I'll need some large spacers....so I don't know if I should pass or not.
