what to use to protect the polished lip on....

I just purchased and installed a set of 19" Champion 3 piece wheels and I plan to leave them on all year round. (I live in NY) I won't be driving the car in the snow, but they may be exposed to some salt. Besides taking them off in the winter (out of the question as I have very limited garage space to keep an additional set of wheels), what can I use to protect the polished outer lip, will regular car wax work? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

You can coat it with Vaseline also. Probably better than waxing.

Not only the outer lips you need to worry about, you need to clean those rivets as well. The last thing you need is black salt get stuck in those rivets. My recommendation is to wash them weekly.

I would go with a coat, or even coats, of wax. Porsche recommended vaseline on it's Fuchs centers, but some found that the vaseline attracted dust.
