Question Did the 96' C4S have a rear offset of ET30?

There is an auction on Ebay that is selling a set of wheels off a 1996 C4S, he states that the rear wheels are a 8Jx17-ET30.
Is that right??
I can't find any info to back this up.
If it is did they also make a rear wheel in 9Jx17-ET30?
If so, a set of 8Jx17-ET30 / 9Jx17-ET30 would probally fit the earlier offset of 944's and the 86' 951, would'nt they?

Just trying to figure out a factory wheel upgrade for my Turbo....

Hmm.. I looked at the auction and it looks a bit sketchy.

Mostly because those are not the std wheels that came on a C4s. C4S has the solid spoke technology twist wheels. In addition they were 18", NOT 17". That looks more like the std wheel that came on the Carrera.

But so what, he got his model #'s mixed up. Your real question is whether it will fit your 951. I can't help you on that. Perhaps Viken will chime in here.

The 993 Carrera 4S of all years came with 18" Turbo Look wheels. The 17" Cup Design 93 wheels were specified for winter tires and were sized as follows:

Front: 7" x 17" ET55 with 205/50-17 M+S (wheel part # 993.362.124.00)
Rear: 8" x 17" ET30 with 225/45-17 M+S (wheel part # 993.362.126.02)

Alternately, you could also use:

Rear: 9" x 17" ET55 with a 31 mm spacer among many other combinations.

17" Cup Design 93 wheels were:

7" x 17" ET55
7.5" x 17" ET65
8" x 17" ET30
8" x 17" ET52
8" x 17" ET70
9" x 17" ET55
9" x 17" ET70

Thanks guys!!
I was hoping that they made a 9Jx17-ET30 as well. Oh well, I just need to keep saving for that set of FM-10's that I realy want! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

You could always use the 9" ET55 with a 25 mm spacer if you really want to stick with the Cup wheels.
