unstable at speed
Just replaced my back tire on my 84 911. Well worn on inside edges. Front tires were replaced a while back and are in great shape. Brand used on back are same as front. When I first got it back any speed above 80, the front and back want to swap places. Very unstable. Took to my mech and had him check it out. Re-aligned and test drove. Stable up to 80/90 now. Anything faster and it is very unstable. Any help would be appreciated?

better
I took it out the other day and it was a little better. I am assuming that they just need some breaking in? I hope, will do some more driving as soon as it stops raining in Georgia.

Solved the problem with yet another alignment. You really need someone who is very serious with their job and equipment. Very stable and back to the fun times. Ran almost 140 the other day racing a vette.

Tire wear sounds like the rear camber was too negative. Was it a rack alignment where u drive onto the Rack? 928-s Need a few miles to settle down after being raised. Not sure if this is the case with 911s' is it? Glad its fixed.
