Will 997 GT3 wheels fit a 997 Carrera S?
I know I probably looked over the answer.....but I really like the 997 GT3 wheel and would like to put a set on my 997S if the fitment will work. Here's what I've found regarding the GT3 wheels. Front wheels part # 997.362.156.96 19x8.5 offset ET53 & Rear wheels part # 997.362.164.92 19x12 offset ET51. I think the stock offset is 19x8 ET 57 & 19x11 ET 51. Any advise would be appreciated. thanks!!!!!!!

IMO, from the offset you provided, I think they will fit. The fronts will fit for sure. The back wheels are an inch wider so it is about 1/2 " wider on each side with same offset. But you can usually go an inch wider on our cars anyways so I don't think it'll be an issue. For the record, mine is an 88 944TS and even on my car, I went 2' wider in the rears with 996 TT Technology hollow spokes with 305s. So given how much room is back there, an inch wide should be OK. Use this wheel/tire size calc for references: http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp
Good luck.
Good luck.

If you use this calculator below:

it will show you that going from an 11" wheel with ET67 to a 12" wheel with ET51, you gain an extra 3 mm of clearance in the inside of the wheel but, also you are extending the rim of the wheel an extra 29 mm to the outside. The 997S and the 7GT3 are both narrow body cars, but I think the reason why it works on the 7GT3 is that the rear bumper extends lower to cover the tire and also the car itself is lower due to the stock coilovers.
The GT3 wheels will fit on the 997S, but it may look a little funny if the car isn't lowered. Same goes if you were to put WB rear wheels on a NB car.
