Volk TE37 Question
#16
IIRC the front clearance of a 996 is similar (but not identical) to that of a 993 (standard 18x8" fronts are ET50 vs ET52). I don't have a 996 but my 993 has 245/35 on 9"ET40 with (very, very) minor fender rolling; inboard clearance with RSR coilovers is fine. Previously ran 225/40 and 245/35 on 8.5"ET46.

Yup. I just got mine from tirerack a few weeks ago and they do have the R14 seats so they work with Porsche lug nuts. Make sure you get the Porsche versions of the TE37s though since these have the correct lug pattern, lug seat, and are hub centric.

I was thinking of getting a set of these for my GT3 for track use.. Do you like them?

I use them for the track as well and they're great. The fronts are 8.5x19 @ 20lbs and the rears are 11x19 @ 22lbs so you'll save a little weight as well. The front offsets work great, but the rears could use another 5mm or so. The only issue I have with them so far is that the front and back edges of the wheels have a extra lip that stick out past the tires. With this, you can't lay the tires on the ground at all or stack them easily since it would damage the rim. My tires did not have the rim protectors, but judging by how much it sticks out, I think it would be past the rim protectors anyways.
