Default 86 951 wheel fitment *Trade*

I currently have 17" Turbo twists but I'm looking to get a nicer looking wheel. What was the stock offset and wheel sizes for the 86 951?

I heard 23mm offset front and rear?

What offset is needed for 18x8 in the front and 18x10 in the rear? And what is our bolt-on pattern? 5x114 or 5x130 etc?

If anyone has any advice on aftermarket wheels that fit the early model 951's please let me know. Thank you

The '86 has a 23mm offset with a 5 x 130 pattern. Provising you have the proper offset the front will be no problem. I'm not sure about the rear.

Try the "944 wheel faq" at http://members.rennlist.com/951_racerx/

Thank you. If anyone is intrested in trading wheels please let me know.

17" Turbo Twist 17x8(F) 17x9.5(R)
Tires are Bridgestone Re750 with less than 2000 miles on them.

Rims and tires look like new. I'm looking for a "different" look, let me know what you have. I have no problem throwing in some cash for the difference in value. Or if anyone can reccommend some wheels that will fit a 86 951. I'm having a tough time finding a low offset wheel. The kinesis are great but are close to $1000 a wheel.

The wheel in my avatar are the ones I have. They were made by FRH International which I believe is Hartmann wheels now. They weren't cheap but I got lucky and scooped them from a Rennlister who ordered them for his '86. The bargains are out there, you just have to hunt for them.

Best of luck!

Aren't you tired of those funny looking wheels?

Do you want to swap?
