*NEW QUESTIONS* 18" wheels on lowered 951?
Will I be able to use such a large wheel with lowering springs?.
Does it make the car look like a rice car?
I bought some 996TT twists.... It was an impulse buy (good deal!!)

Actually, they're Forgeline WC3s - I've got 2 sets of these (the other is anthracite grey) and a set of SX3s that I run on my race car. I've been very happy with them & would definitely recommend calling them if you're looking for wheels.

Ok I was looking around for tires and had a few questions..
1.) is the 225/265 on the 996TT twists' setup going to cause massive understeer, if so what should i do about it?
2.) What brand would you recommend? street use only.

Ryan,
I would probably suggest a 225/285 combo...that's what I run for 'street' tires and have been very happy with them.
Regarding brand...that's kind of an individual decision largely dependent on budget, how aggressive you drive, wet vs dry preference, etc... I'll give you my thoughts...I've been pleased with Bridgestone S-02s, Michelin PS2s and BF Goodrich KD/KDWs. They're all a bit pricey but I've been very happy with it. The only tire I've bought that I've felt really negatively about is the Bridgestone S-03. You may want to post on one of the 944/951 board for more opinions. Or...give Jim Hollaman a call at Tirerack...he's very helpful and can help sort out the best choice.
Best,
Rick
