Default Opinions about this....

Hi Everyone,

It's Monday, 5:20 AM. I travel this week and won't be home to take my car to the tire shop until Friday. I noticed this cut on my rear tire last night and am wondering if I should be prepared to replace the tire. I will take it in for an inspection on Friday but obviously I will be wondering this all week. Is this as bad as it looks?

Thanks!

Jim

No, it's not that bad. From that picture it doesn't look like the structure of the tire has be compromised. Just make sure the depth of the cut isn't any lower than the actual tread left on the tire. Unless you see it start to chunk you should be able to get many more miles out of that tire.
