Powder Coat or Paint?
I have an 89 S2 and I think I would like to paint or get my wheels powder coated I'm sure powder coating would be alot better but paint would be alot cheaper and I'm not sure if i would like it that great. I would be doing them black a flat black so if anyone have any pictures that would help alot and any info would be nice too. Thanks alot.

This has been discussed many times in various Rennlist forums.
If you become a paying member, you will have access to the Search function, which is worth way more than the membership costs IMHO.
This may help you decide paint vs powdercoat vs anodize (from a previous thread):

Best of luck.

I don't know how much painting costs off the top of my heard, but is it really that much more than powder coating? I thought powder coating was generally cheaper than painting. If you strip the old paint off the wheels yourself and do some sanding you'll save money on what the powder coater (or painter) would charge for the prep work.

powder coating isn't that expensive. We'd typically charge about 45/wheel when I was in that game. . . prepwork however can be pricey. we charged $60/hr to media blast. If you're getting them blasted, don't use sand, use alum. oxide, or garnett.
