Default New Tire Break-in

I just put my summer wheels and tires on (with brand new Potenza S-02As). Do you guys do anything special to break in tires?

forget about it. They're street tires. just run them. There may be some mold-release
on them if they're brand new, so take it easy for the first 5 minutes.

The slippery mold release on the treads may take as long as 200 miles to be completely worn off. I've seen reports on rennlist complaining that the grip their new tires have was so bad they were going to take them back. They were advised to drive them for 200 miles before judging, and they later came back praising the tires for their grip. Several have reported loving the S-02As.

Agreed... may take some time to wear through the slippery stuff but no need to worry about heat cycling as they are only street tires.
