Default wheel ofset advice older 911 vs 968 - xpost from H2o forum

Hi,

I've found some great looking wheels and the description says

"This is a USED set of Kinesis Wheels in sizes 17x7.5 & 9 the application for these wheels is 1978 -89 911 & 930, will also fit earlier versions PROVIDED that you have rear flares, overall condition is quite nice, wheel caps are included "

does anyone have a clue as to whether these would fit a 968?

Phil

Phil,

I doubt it. 89 and earlier 911's have an offset in the 10-23mm range. I think you'll find the 968 uses wheels with offsets in the 50mm range. You can always adapt wheels that have larger offsets than stock with spacers, however, smaller offsets don't work.
