Default Rolling inner fenderlips

Looking for info on rolling my innerlips so I can use 17" wheels on my Carrera. Do mos people cut them, then carefully pound them under? Or?

Thanks
Mark

easiest thing to do is get a wooden baseball bat, jack the car up a bit with the wheel/tire still on and use the tire as leverage, then just roll the bat along the fender lip with pressure untill it's nice and 'rolled'

It will help greatly to pre-heat the paint at the crease with a heat gun, the paint cracks very easy unless it's pre-softened a bit. I've rolled fenders on 2 cars this way with the bat. I like to jack the wheel off the ground and jackstand it at the frame, then I use a smaller jack to raise the control arm to the perfect height for tire/bat clearance.

Default Fender rolling 1A

Thanks Guys

I will try these methods as I want to lower my car a bit and these 17" wheels are wider than stock

Best Regards

the guys are right about rolling wiht a bat, be sure to preheat though. if you dont trust your bat skills, companies off a tool hear that bolts to your hub and then you crank it around. here are a few pics i jsut googled real quick.

here is the link explaining more http://www.robsaudiworld.com/fender.htm

This is a really cool tool, where can I rent one? As buying something you will only use once might be a bit pricey. I would gladly pay a very fair rental fee, as I only have four fenders to modify.

Thanks much

It's funny, I never really rubbed at the top of the arch, always at the 10 and 2 o'clock position under hard boost. Guess it depends a lot on how much neg. camber is dialed in.

It is sold by Eastman for $250 and it will not fit 911s unless modified. The slots/holes are too close together. I have "fixed" two so far.

Still have one you'd be willing to rent out? If so, sign me up.

The one in that link says it fits up to a 120 mm bolt pattern. Porsches are 130 mm.
