Default FS: 17" Kinesis Supercups (fronts only)

Please see my ad (#5179) over in Rennlist Classifieds for more details. Click here.

Note: These wheels (17x7.5) have Boxster offsets (49mm).

The main reason I'm cross-posting this is that Kinesis has told me they are going to stop manufacturing the centers for the 17" wheels as they move to a new design. Therefore, if you need to replace or rebuild a Kinesis Supercup with a new center, your best bet is to buy a partial set like what I have for sale.

Is the rear a 17 as well?

Yes, the remaining undamaged rear is a 17, but the rim lip has a couple of good dents in it. Really most of value as a replacement center if you need a wheel rebuild.

Thanks for the quick reply - I'm needing a single 18 rear, that's why I asked.

Sam, you could probably use the 17" center. Kinesis could tell you for sure but I believe the 17s/18s use the same center with a different outer.

Appreciate it Matt! I'll check into it more then. Brett, would you be interested in selling the good rear?

Sam, if you decide you dont want these, then Brett, would you let me know if you would throw in the other rears? I will find a way to fix them and use them for spares.

Matt, I don't want the fronts either way, as I only one need one and there's no reason to create another orphan. Go right ahead!

Yeah, this would require me to very quickly sell a set of Boxster fronts and Boxster S rears.

Brett, if you will throw in the rears and give me a few days to see if I can sell my Boxster wheels I will take them.

Hi all,

the rears are of no value to me, so as long as you pay shipping on them, they are yours for the same price as the fronts only.

If you get the rears, please DO NOT put the rear with the cracked spoke on your Porsche. The crack does not go all the way through the spoke, but I have no idea how long it would go without a catastrophic failure.

BTW, here's a link for pics of the wheels (fronts and the rear with the good center). I've also put in pics of where any damage is on the wheels, as well as remaining tread on the rears.

Matt, let me know if you want to go ahead after seeing the pictures. I do have a couple other people who have responded to my ad, but I don't know how serious they are.

Thanks,

Brett

OK, lets consider them sold. My wife is gonna kill me. Let me know where to send the paypal. Can you ship using FEDEX? If so the ones with tires should be about 20 bucks per to ship. Leave the tires on, please.

Oops, just looked at this thread again. A guy who had emailed me from the Classifieds posting said he would take them and then for some reason Rennlist didn't notify me about the post just above this one saying you would take the wheels. So, bottom line is that the other guy got to me first. I apologize for that, Matt (but maybe saved you some trouble with the wife). I hear you on that one, my wife is holding out for something in a blue box given I got a new set of the 2002 996 5-spokes.

However, if the other guy falls through, I will let you know.

Matt:

Again, I apologize. Unfortunately, Rennlist didn't email me EVERY post in the thread, just replies to my own posts. So when you posted two in a row, I didn't get the second one. I really hope I haven't put you in a bad predicament.
