Someone has just offered me a set of wheels for my C4S but I think they are off of a GT2 since the rear wheel size is 18x12. They look like the same wheels as my stock wheels - which is really what I want.

Are the C4S and GT2 rear wheels the same? If not - what problems am I going to have with that? What I am really looking for are wheels that will fit the snow tires that I have just bought which fit on the standard C4S wheels.

GT2 wheels spec is as follows:
Front 8.5 J x 18" ET 40
Rear 12 J x 18" ET 45

996TT wheels spec is as follows:
Fronts : 8x18 ET50
Rear : 11x18 ET45

Thanks for the info. That confirms the wheel size is from a GT2.

The next question then is...can I mount the following snow tires on them - 265/30/18, 225/40/18
If not, can I mount the standard tires on my car on them (and then the snow tires on my current wheels)?

I'm concerned that a 12" wide wheel is going to be too wide for the tires I already have.

Just got off the phone with Tirerack - they say the biggest I can go with the 295 wide tires (std. for the C4S rear) is 11". So...that ends that.

18X12 should run a 315 30 18, 18X11 a 295 30 18.
