Fuchs worth?
What are a set of 16x7 and 16x8 forged Fuchs worth as opposed to cast fuchs? Mu understanding is that forged Fuchs are the originals and cast Fuchs are what you can currently buy from aftermarket suppliers but forged are superior.
BTW, these would be used in racing. They are not pristine but are straight.
TIA

Forged fuchs are definetly real Fuchs, cast fuchs are copies/knock-offs. The copies are prone to failure and cracking.
I haven't seen any place that has made cast fuchs for a long time.
The value of those wheels depends on whether they have a 911 part# on them or a 951 part#. I have seen so/so sets of 911 fuchs in those sizes go for anywhere from $500-$800 for the set of four. Of course, nicer ones carry a higher premium. Now, the 951 fuchs are rarer, and desirable for many because they allow the use of larger brakes behind them (I actually can fit 928S4 calipers behind mine). The 951 fuchs have appreciated in price in recent years. It seems the going rate for a decent set around my area is $1200 or more, if you can find them. Many are reluctant to part with them.
Hope that helps!

Is there an easy way to tell the difference between a forged rim and a cast rim? Also, where could I go to find out what the serial numbers are?
