Chip on Refinished Wheels
Just got in a set of hollow-spoke wheels. 3 of the 4 were refinished, that is, repainted. Frankly, very difficult to tell the one that was not.
At any rate, one of the refinished ones has a chip at the edge. As these will be my track wheels, no big deal, but I would like to stabilize the chip so it doesn't continue to flake off.
Any suggestions on how best to do that? Is there a clearcoat on these, so if I just clearcoat over the chipped area, it'll hold it? Or get touch-up paint to paint over it? Or just get a clear lacquer (?) to tie it to the wheel?
Any advice would be appreciated.
