I may have a pair of 951 8" x 16" ET 23.3 in the storage barn...would these work? I'm not familiar with the offset for the 87 911.....

Check the "what do you think" thread under "911"

The 951 8's will fit in the front of a 911, with some massaging of the fender lip, as well as fitting in the back, perhaps needing a spacer to clear the inner fender wall.

The 911 "8"s have a 10.6 mm offset.. the 944 "8" has a 23.3 mm offset. The later 944 "8" have (approx) 52 mm offset and will not work on the pre '89 911's

The 951 8" have an approx. 5 1/2" backspacing vs. a 4 7/8" of a 911 8". They will work on the back without spacers. Or you can add a 1/2" spacer to get the same look as a 911 8". If you just want them for the back I would look for a 911 8". They seem to be about the same price. I think there are some on ebay now. Either one will work on the back of a flared car, RS, SC or Carrera.
