Default Nail in a tread on Nankang AR-1 rear tire - repairable?

I recently got a nasty screw/nail in my right rear tire. Considering it's a 100TW tire that often sees the track, how repairable is it? Any special considerations to take if I try to have a tire shop plug it?

if it sees track time, without question replace it. not worth the risk for the expense of one tire.

I have tracked plugged tires with no problems, but never one that was punctured that close to the shoulder. I have driven a tire on the street that was plugged there, but the plug kept coming out.
