Narrow body oem 19" wheels with re71r
I want to buy a set of track tires and I'm looking at a refurbished set of lobster forks (19x8 and 19x11). I'd like to run the bridgestone re71r tires, but they don't come in the 295 oem rear tire size. Can I run 305/30R19s on 19x11 lobster forks? Will there be any issues with ABS or alignment?
If I can use the 305s, do I need to make any adjustments to the 235/35 front tires?

While I do not have a specific year/model/trim level, I can say that the 305 will fit on that 11" wide wheel with no issue.

I am also hoping to get some 19" wheels for track days and have my eye on a set of craigslist lobster-forks. Are there any fitment issues with the larger Carrera S brake calipers, 2014 991 Carrera S? Will the 19" set up affect the car negatively? My naive thinking is that 19" wheel/tires would be better since there would be less rotating mass. I would run similar tire sizes (19 instead of 20 but otherwise similar dimensions) to my stock 20's on the Lobster forks, 245/35z/r20(19) and 305/30zR20(19) I'd be inclined to run Sport Maxx Race, Pilot Sport Cup 2, or maybe even the RE71r (rmag911 let us know how it runs please!). If the 991's suspension is really designed around a 20" wheel and there are compromises to running a 19" wheel on the the track what could they be? I have heard some conflicting information on this topic so I hope this isn't a stale discussion.

As far as the bridgestones go, I've used them for two track weekends and really like them. They were significantly grippier than my PS4s. I'm still figuring out the optimal PSI though. Also, the last time I used them it was about 105 degrees out and they got pretty greasy on the track. But I think that was more a function of the weather than the tires.

I don't drive a 991, but I've heard 19s are preferable for track use, both in terms of cost and performance.

Not sure it helps you if you have a 991. 997's stock wheels are 19x8 and 19x11. So that doesn't resolve your concern with deviating from your stock size wheels on the 991. For my tires, I went 305 in the back, which is a hair wider than stock. Everything else was the same as stock.
