I have searched the forum and called a few sales services trying to locate a set of the new Michelin type r cup2 tires in 20/21 for the RS.

I am on the fence with the Hoosier 19 inch and new wheels and all of the changes that have to be made to make a 19 work well on the 991 RS.

I realize they may be new but the idea I am getting from Michelin is that they don’t exist. It’s kind a like trying to figure out when the new iPhone 11 is coming out. These are tires and you would think you could at least hear about them from the reps.

Any insider news would be appreciated before I go down the hre/19 rabbit hole.

Apparently these are the tires that Porsche used to set the new records on the Nürburgring. There are pics and articles that prove they exist but this doesn’t mean they are making them in any real numbers.

My concern is that these were a one off production just for that event and they may not be for sale to the public.

Isn’t that the same size tire as on the 3 rs?
