Urgent Request - Can I drive with this rim Damage for few days?
Hey guys,
I would like to hear your thoughts about driving few more days with this type of rim Damage (My wife is pissed as this is her car). I know the tire has no damage and the pressure is fine. This happened on driving to the airport at like 5am. It is mind boggling on how many potholes I was avoiding on the way to BWI. While avoiding one pothole, I landed in another. What mess.
I know I may have to order new rims and get them installed, the problem is I am mega slammed at work at have to drive like 80 miles this weekend. I can rent a car, but it just would be so much convenient just to drive my wife's car for this trip. I will be free whole next week to sort this out.
It is hard to see the crack - but it is right there next to the rim damage which is kinda popped out.
see the crack on the rim
Is this cosmetic damage, this is a crack but it is on the side of the rim

I can't tell from the pictures. But a crack is a crack. Don't drive on a cracked rim.

As above if there is a crack don’t drive on it. Replace ASAP. Dealer might have a wheel in stock and if
they under warranty give you a loaner worst case.
