Value of Magnesium Minilites?
I have 4 magnesium wheels that came with my race car many years ago. I am under the understanding that they are Mini-lites (sp?) and that they where originally from a Peter Gregg porsche, and that they would have some pretty good value in the collector world. Can anyone give me information about these, what they would be worth, and how to most effectivly sell them? They need to be refinished, but I belive that they are straight, and have no major scratchs. I think they are 15x9 in size. They are also extremely light.

They have no value so just send them to me. I'll pay the freight. It will be good to get them out of your garage won't it?! Hehehehe

Jrogers,
if they were 15x6 id grab em off you in a heart beat. minilites are awsome and they look amazing on vintage 911/2s. minilites usually go pretty high because they cost an arm and an ass to get.. you have to buy them from the company in england and have them shipped, and you can only get them in england. seeing as these would have a history (if you can verify that they really did belong to gregg) you could get more for them. if you cant, then its a moot point. because of their condition though, that definitly hurts the price. |
i take that back.. i did a yahoo search and found a us dealer,
http://minilitewheels.com/ and there are some sites where others ask about buying and selling vintage racing wheels, that came up under the same search. do a little reaserch and asking and im sure they could come up with an answer for you. |
Any links that others can post to sights where I can get pricing or resale information would be great. I did some searching, and was unable to find anything.
Thanks. |
