Fastest tires with treadware over 140?

Pete, you could look at the P Zero Rosso's, while most sizes are spec'd at TW 220, there are a few sizes that are spec'd as 160 (according to Tirerack's data). In 18" the 160 sizes are 245/35, 295/35 and 335/30 - the last two might work for you, though a 295 on the front seems ... extravagant.

XL does, however, mean the tire can be run at higher air pressure (thus XL). It is becoming more normal on UHP tires.

So I heard from my sources. The word is that the PS2 is not going to be available in 335/18 by April- in fact there are no plans to make that size at all. The already mentioned 295 is the closest they plan to come. Either I change rim size or go back to the drawing board…
Are those P zero Rosso’s decent? I’ve never been a big fan of the P Zero in general, but I don’t know much about the different versions…
Overall I have a little trouble believing that any of the tires I’ve found in 335 (PZero, Pilot Sport 1, Eagle F1) could be faster than either a PS2 or a G-Force KD in 295. Yea you give up an inch on the road, but over a couple laps I would think the stickier compound would more than make up for it. Thoughts?

Consider PZero Asimetricos, they have a 140 tread wear. Some evenly worn used ones (Ebay?) seem perfect for "street tire" autocross class. The improvements in the newer Rossos is mainly in the area of quiter smoother ride. I have Asimetricos on my 996TT and they are noticeably stickier, lighter, noisier, and harsher than Yokohamas. I have not tried Michelins.
