Default 245's on a 7 inch rim?

I've got 245/50/16 tires on my GT rear. They are wrong for the GT. So instead of tossing them in the garbage, or wearing them down, which might take me two years, I thought I'd put them on my rear 7 inch phone dials on my '79 car. I know this is WAY off from the maximum 1.15 ratio. It's more like a 1.2 ratio.
After searching the archives, I found that someone was racing with 235's on 7.5 inch wide wheels.

Thanks.
Now I just need to find 245/45/16 tires that have less sidewall flex than the AV-100's.

Gregg- I have a set of S-02PP, brand new (only 2). BTW - it is going to be a mother bitch to mount a 245 on a 7" wheel.
