Hi Guys: I'm going to be spending a few days between 14 and 19 October in San Francisco and Napa area, so I was wondering:

1. what are the must-sees, hangouts and must-drive roads for a fellow Rennlister, and

2. are there are meets, cars & coffees or trackdays I might be able to squeeze in?

Sadly I won't be able to rock up in my 977, but I can always park the rental around the back...

For SF and Napa, take a look at the North Bay section in this thread for some ideas: https://rennlist.com/forums/west-us-...ing-blast.html

Max, if you don't have any formal things lined up, I suggest you visit Alice's Restaurant on a Saturday or Sunday morning. There's plenty of nice roads around the area that will be listed in post wjk listed.

Not car related, I'm starting to eat my way through this list.

If you want to splurge, here's the Michelin restaurants. SF Bay has seven 3 star restaurants - if you have a decent credit card, the concierge should be able to help you book.

Respectably ^^^^ Alice's Restaurant on a weekend???? Bikers/Road Bikes paradise + cops and fire department responses for victims of aggressive drivers. Much better on a weekday if you can pull that off.
Golden Gate Region also has a "Boxster Brunch" at Alice's from time to time. From there, head off to La Honda and detour to Pescadero and the coast.

Anyone from SF East bay want to carpool down to Laguna on Friday? I can go Friday only and mostly want to see the 919Evo run.

I live in San Leandro but not taking the Cayman (Touareg or Golf instead).

Leaving no later than 6:30a, returning at lunch.

I think he wants to look at some cars and talk to the owners. It'll be empty on the weekday. Plus he'll be in a rental.

Thanks very much for the recommendations (the roads, Alice's, and Michelin-starred restaurants).

Well, you'd be lucky to arrive by 9a with all the traffic on hwy 68. Returning at lunch in no way gives you enough time to see everything unless you are focused on one aspect of the event. Many familiar vendors with stuff on display and to purchase. Nice to do a one-on-one with vendors that have a product you are interested in. (AKA Slippery Slope).

I did leave at 6:30 and was parked by 8:45 in Lot 11 right next to the WeatherTech truck. Took 580E->680S->101S->156W->1S->Reservation Rd->inter-garrison->warwick gate rd

Minimal traffic that route. Sadly I had to be back by 4p so left around 1p. Holy crap it was amazing and overwhelming. All I want to do now is buy more P-cars...

Couple pics:

You could rent my 997.2 on Turo https://turo.com/rentals/cars/Porsche-911/460627. Let me know if interested and I can arrange it!

Thanks for the offer, but this time we have the children, so a 997 isn't going to be big enough. Unless I get an uber too.

Default RR VI Program

I have an extra program from this past weekend's RR VI. Anyone want it? Located in Half Moon Bay. First come, first served! I will not ship.

Hello everyone,

I am not sure if you know, but I am organizing a group buy to re-wrap your tired steering wheels at Cars Dream.

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...l-recover.html

I have several wheels going out on Wednesday and have room for one more. Shipping will only be $35 to Poland and about the same for the return shipping. Prices for the re-wrap listed in the post above. LMK if you are interested as I can hold one of the wheels back so I can ship it together.

Thanks!
