PDK specialist and/or diagrams, service manuals, etc.?
Hi,
I'm considering lifting a PDK system out of a 986/987 S and putting it into a kit car. Yea, totally crazy, I know. :-) My question to the group therefore is if there's anyone you know who might be able to help explain exactly what all the pieces of that system are and what they do. I get the mechanical concepts of the system, but beyond the transaxle internals, how does it all interact, communicate, etc? I know it's "electronics", but which ones, what sensors, where are they, what's the protocol they use to communicate, etc?
Also, is there any way to get diagrams or service manuals for any of the pieces?
An lastly, is there maybe someone in the Bay Area that has experience with PDK systems, 986/987 or 997, that I could talk to in person?
Many thanks in advance and happy holidays.
Tim
